Tri-Edge for 5G Wireless Applications

Increasing demand for consumer applications and services are driving 5G wireless adoption and mmWave deployment. This in turn requires higher bandwidth transmission capacity for 5G front haul deployment at extremely low latency, low power and high performance. Semtech's Tri-Edge platform enables excellent performance with low bandwidth 25G optics. Semtech's ICs for this application are the GN2255 bi-directional CDR with integrated DML laser driver and GN2256 bi-directional CDR with integrated EML laser driver.
